2021 is turning out to be a good year for some people. Thanks to a lottery ticket he purchased in Whitehorse, a Yukon man has now won a whopping $1 million. A couple of days after the draw held on June 18th for a prize of one million dollars, Michael Healey discovered that he had the LOTTO MAX ticket that would make him a millionaire.
Lotteries Yukon revealed that Michael waited for a couple of days after the draw to check his ticket on the Lotto Spot app and discovered that he was the winner. According to the release, Michael was in ‘complete disbelief’ that he had become a millionaire. According to Healey, he will use his winnings to help his family, pay off his bills, and will eventually purchase a new boat.
He disclosed that he had wanted to buy a new boat for some time now and now it wouldn’t be a problem, which was great. He added that the best thing about winning the lottery prize was that his life would become easier. He had purchased his winning ticket on the Alaska Highway at Trails North Car & Truck Stop. He picked the numbers 16, 17, 24, 28, 30, 31 and 38.
The Western Canada Lottery Corporation revealed that Healey is actually the third person to have taken home a $1 million prize since the beginning of this year.
