Burlington Chef Wins $3 Million Lottery
A 47-year-old man from Burlington, Steven Kirlin couldn’t believe what had happened. He put his hands on his knees and tried to take some deep breaths. He said that it had felt like a scene from a movie. Kirlin is a regular lottery player and a few minutes before all this happened, he had walked into the Shell Select store located on Walker’s line in the city of Burlington.
Since he plays regularly, he opted for the scratch tickets he prefers and chose a random Instant Triple Millions ticket. As it was raining, he scratched the ticket while standing at the counter. Kirlin said that as he scratched the ticket and revealed the games, he had a feeling that he had won. Sure enough, the ticket turned out to be a winner. He had to catch his breath when he scanned the ticket. The store clerk became worried and asked him if he was okay. Kirlin told him that he had just won $3 million.
A chef, Kirlin is planning to use the money for investing in his retirement. He said he would be careful about material things, but there is one thing that he does want. Kirlin said that he had always wanted a dog and he was immediately going to get a puppy so both of them can live like millionaires.
